ONE DAY ANNUAL RETREAT AT WADING RIVER

The participants had a wonderful and rewarding time at Wading river, L.I. last Saturday. The devotion was led by pastor Chris who drew the parellel between the patriarch Abraham and ourselves and said we also needed to find the answers to where we came from and where we were now and then only we would be able to find the right answer to where we were going and challenged the CTK to be pioneers like Abraham.  Mr.Albert Chelladurai then gave a challenging talk on the theme of the retreat 'Where are we going CTK?' He said pastors have to be fathers and priests. Then he also challenged the people to do their part in terms of commitment and involvement and contribution. This was followed by a meaningful discussion and pastor Sunder summed it up with his candid remarks and observations. There were inspiring and elevating musical interludes led ably by John Karunakaran, Noble, Leslie and Nallathurai. Soloists were Beulah, Cynthia, Malar and Leslie. The hospitality committee did a good job of keeping us refreshed and satisfied with all kinds of delicious victuals. Latha Nalladurai did an excellent job with the bible quiz on Letter to the Hebrews and the couple Cynthia and Frederick walked away with the first and second prize and Malar the third prize. After a visit to the sea shore we all came back fully refreshed and inspired.

Vinutha Daniel in her email says the participants at the national annual convocation at Dallas had a profitable time and they all enjoyed attending the convocation. We are happy to have them all back with us.

We wish to thank every one who was involved in these programs one way or other. We thank Mr.Albert for his inspiring well prepared talk and the music team for their elevating music and the hospitality committee for the good food they gave us and Latha for the interesting and informative bible quiz which she had prepared so well. We thank you all. We do hope CTK will march forward in the days to come fully conscious of its destiny and play its part well.  We also thank the director Kathleen and staff of Camp Dewolfe for their assistance and cooperation.
